Child Care Sub-Committee

In attendance:  Director of Social Work and Mr G Douglas (for Director of Legal & Support Services).

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 6 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Appointment to Vacancy on Inverclyde Children’s Panel Advisory Committee

There was submitted a report dated 14 January 2000 by the Director of Legal & Support Services appending information on 2 candidates to fill the current vacancy on the Inverclyde Children’s Panel Advisory Committee and requesting the Committee to make an appointment.  Following discussion, Councillor Morrison (D) moved that Mrs Mary Munro, 15 Millburn Drive, Kilmacolm be appointed to fill the current vacancy on the Inverclyde Children’s Panel Advisory Committee.  As an amendment, Councillor Nimmo moved that Mrs Mairi Brown, 3 Lochview Avenue, Gourock be appointed.  On a vote, 2 Members voted for the motion, 3 for the amendment which was declared carried.  

Decided: that Mrs Mairi Brown be appointed to fill the current vacancy on the Inverclyde Children’s Panel Advisory Committee.
