There was submitted a report dated 6 October 2003 by the Director of Legal & Support Services on the progress made against the Council's Service Review Schedule.

Statutory Performance Indicators 2002/2003

There was submitted a report by the Chief Executive on the current position with the Statutory Performance Indicators 2002/03.

Decided:

(1)      that it be noted that the Statutory Performance Indicators 2002/03 have been audited and forwarded to Audit Scotland for inclusion in national publications;  and

(2)      that it be noted that Audit Scotland's pamphlets and their compendium of PIs giving a comparison of Councils across Scotland will be published in early 2004 and any issues relating to Inverclyde that arise from the publications will be the subject of a further report.

Best Value Review - Inverclyde Alcohol Services

There was submitted a report by the Director of Social Work & Housing Services on the review of Inverclyde Alcohol Services.

Decided:

(1)      that the contents of the report be noted; and

(2)      that the proposals contained in the action plan be approved.

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the ground that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 8 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A of the Act.

Building Services Business Plan 2003/04

There was submitted a report by the Director of Social Work & Housing Services on the performance of Building Services and the plans being put in place to improve performance of the current year.

Decided:  that the Building Services Business Plan for 2003/04 be approved.
