The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

 

 

 

 

 

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Federation of Community Learning Centres

There was submitted a report by the Corporate Director Improvement and Performance and the Corporate Director Regeneration and Resources on (1) the current financial position of the Federation of Community Learning Centres and (2) the subsequent implications for the future of the project and its staff.

 

 

(Councillor Rebecchi entered the meeting during consideration of this item of business.)

 

 

 

 

 

Following consideration, the Sub-Committee agreed to take action, all as detailed in the appendix.

 

 

 

 

 

The Convener, being of the opinion that the undernoted report by the Head of Organisational Development and Human Resources was relevant, competent and urgent, moved its consideration to allow the employees concerned to be released on the dates provisionally agreed should the Sub-Committee agree to the action recommended.  This was unanimously agreed in terms of the relevant Standing Order.

There was submitted a report by the Head of Organisational Development and Human Resources seeking approval to release employees under the Council’s Severance Scheme, which was agreed, all as detailed in the appendix.
