21.

(f)

Alterations and Extension to Dwellinghouse:

14 Kishorn Road, Wemyss Bay (IC/06/438)

The report recommended that planning permission be refused as the proposed extension by virtue of its location and size would result in the extended dwelling severely reducing the open aspects of the streetscape and dominating the streetscape when viewed from the junction with Greenock Road, as such the proposal is not in accordance with the guidance contained within Policy H15 of the Inverclyde Local Plan.

After discussion, Councillor Forbes moved that planning permission be refused for the reason detailed in the report.   As an amendment, Councillor Hunter moved that planning permission be granted subject to appropriate conditions.   On a vote, 2 Members voted for the amendment and 3 for the motion which was declared carried.

Decided: that planning permission be refused as the proposed extension by virtue of its location and size would result in the extended dwelling severely reducing the open aspects of the streetscape and dominating the streetscape when viewed from the junction with Greenock Road, as such the proposal is not in accordance with the guidance contained within Policy H15 of the Inverclyde Local Plan.
