The following paragraphs are submitted for
information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the
Panel. |

It was agreed in terms of
Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended that
the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the
following items on the grounds that the business involved the likely
disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 of Part I of
Schedule 7(A) of the Act. |

Request for Suspension of
Taxi Driver’s Licence: Stephen Houston |

|
|
There was submitted a report by the Head of Legal & Administration
requesting that the licence granted to Mr Houston be suspended on the ground
that he was no longer a fit and proper person to hold a Taxi Driver’s Licence
by virtue of the conduct described in the report. |
|
|
Mr Houston advised the Panel that he had had a recent family
bereavement. |
|
|
Decided: that
under the circumstances the matter be continued to the next meeting of the
Panel. |
|
|
|

Request for Suspension of
Private Hire Car Operator’s Licence:
Joseph Dolan |

|
|
|
There was submitted a report by the Head of Legal and Administration
requesting that the licence granted to Mr Dolan be suspended on the ground
that he was no longer a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Car
Licence by virtue of the conduct described in the report. |
|
|
The Panel heard Mr Douglas, the community warden Mr Docherty, Mr Dolan
and his solicitor, Mr Campbell of Kennedy & Co. |
|
|
Decided: that the licence be suspended immediately for two weeks. |
|
|

requesting that the licence granted to Mr Wilson be suspended on the ground
that he was no longer a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Car
Licence by virtue of the conduct described in the report. |

The Panel heard Mr Douglas, the Transport Operations Officer/Taxi
Examiner, Mr Bradley, Mr Wilson and his solicitor, Mr Campbell of Kennedy
& Co. |
|
|
Decided: that the licence be suspended immediately for two weeks. |
