Personnel (Appeals & Applied Conditions of Service) Sub-Committee

In attendance:  Mr F Jarvie (for Solicitor to the Council) and Ms B McQuarrie (for Head of Personnel Services).

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Grievance Appeal - Employees in Housing Services

The Sub-Committee considered a grievance appeal on behalf of 8 employees in Housing Services and decided (1) that the grounds of the appeal had not been substantiated and the appeal be not upheld and (2) that it be remitted to the Head of Personnel Services to review the role and conditions of service of the posts involved, all as detailed in the Appendix.
