The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee. |

|
It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act. |

Grievance Appeal: Employees in Grounds, Transport & Cleansing |

The Sub-Committee resumed consideration of a grievance appeal on behalf of 12 employees in Grounds, Transport & Cleansing which had been adjourned from the meeting held on 10 June 2005 (para 518) to allow for further information relating to the Appeal to be obtained. |
|
|
Following a vote, the Sub-Committee decided that (1) the appeal be not upheld and (2) it be remitted to the Head of Personnel Services to write to the Trades Unions informing them that the grounds of the appeal require to be submitted in writing before a meeting of the Personnel (Appeals & Applied Conditions of Service) Sub-Committee is arranged, all as detailed in the Appendix. |
