The Sub-Committee was adjourned until
3.30 pm to allow the meeting of the Grants Sub-Committee to be concluded. |

The following
paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under
the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee. |
|
|
It was agreed in
terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as
amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the
following item of business on the grounds that the business involved the
likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I
of Schedule 7(A) of the Act. |

Grievance Appeal -
Former Employee in Social Work Services |

The Sub-Committee resumed consideration of a grievance appeal on behalf of a former employee in Social Work Services which had been adjourned from the meeting held on 1 April 2004 to allow the appellant a further opportunity to be in attendance. |
|
|
The Sub-Committee decided, with
Councillor Snoddy intimating his dissent, that the Appeal be not upheld. The Sub-Committee also instructed the
Director of Social Work Services to review the Scheme of Delegation for
Social Work Employees to reflect the current position, all as detailed in the
Appendix. |
