Personnel (Appeals & Applied Conditions of Service) Sub-Committee

Present:  Councillors Forbes (for Gallacher), Fyfe (for Nimmo), Snoddy (for Hunter) and McCormick (P).

 

 

Chair:    In the absence of the Convener and Vice-Convener, Councillor McCormick presided.

 

 

In attendance:  Mr H McNeilly (for Director of Legal & Support Services) and Mr A Moore (for Head of Personnel Services).

 

 

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

 

 

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Grievance Appeal - Employee in Transportation & Roads Service

The Sub-Committee resumed consideration of a Grievance Appeal on behalf of an employee in the Transportation & Roads Service, which had been adjourned from the meeting held on 21 November 2003 to allow for matters relating to the Appeal to be clarified.  Following consideration, the Sub-Committee decided that the appeal be not upheld, all as detailed in the Appendix.
