The following paragraph is submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Grievance Appeal - Employee in Transportation & Roads Service

The Sub-Committee considered a Grievance Appeal on behalf of an employee in the Transportation & Roads Service who was present together with his trade union representative.

Decided:  following consideration, the Sub-Committee decided that the hearing be adjourned until 10 am on Thursday, 11 September 2003 to allow for matters relating to the appeal to be clarified.
