PERSONNEL (APPEALS AND APPLIED CONDITIONS OF SERVICE) SUB-COMMITTEE

 

WEDNESDAY, 10 NOVEMBER 1999 - 11.00 am

 

Present:- Councillors Moody, Nimmo, Mulholland and McCormick, Councillor Mulholland, Convener, in the Chair.

 

In attendance:- Mrs H Couperwhite (for the Director of Central Services), Mr H McNeilly (for the Director of Legal and Support Services) and Mr C Fairley (for the Head of Personnel Services).

 

An apology for absence was intimated on behalf of  Councillor McCabe.

 

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

 

1139      RESOLUTION : EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS                                                                  1139 

 

On the motion of the Convener it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, as amended the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

1140      GRIEVANCE APPEAL - EMPLOYEE IN LEGAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES                               1140   

The Sub-Committee considered a grievance appeal on behalf of an employee in Legal and Support Services and decided that the appeal be not upheld, all as detailed in the Appendix.
