PERSONNEL (APPEALS AND APPLIED CONDITIONS OF SERVICE) SUB-COMMITTEE

 

WEDNESDAY, 27 OCTOBER 1999 - 12.00 pm

 

Present:- Councillors McCabe, O’Rourke, Jackson, Nimmo and Mulholland, Councillor Mulholland, Convener, in the Chair.

 

In attendance:- Mrs H Couperwhite (for the Director of Central Services), Mr H McNeilly (for the Director of Legal and Support Services) and the Head of Personnel Services.

 

An apology for absence was intimated on behalf of  Councillor Moody.

 

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

 

1103      RESOLUTION : EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS                                                                  1103 

 

On the motion of the Convener it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, as amended, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

1104      GRIEVANCE APPEAL - EMPLOYEES IN RESOURCE SERVICES                                                 1104   

The Sub-Committee considered a grievance appeal on behalf of employees in Resource Services and decided that the appeal be upheld, all as detailed in the Appendix.
