PERSONNEL (APPEALS AND APPLIED CONDITIONS

OF SERVICE) SUB-COMMITTEE

 

WEDNESDAY, 30 JUNE 1999 - 10 am

 

Present:-  Councillors McCabe, Jackson, Hunter, and Mulholland, Councillor Mulholland, Convener, in the Chair.

 

In attendance:-  Mr C Clelland (for the Executive Director, Legal, Information and Support Services), Mrs H Couperwhite (for the Director of Central Services) and Mr A Moore (for the Director of Personnel Services).

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

 

  641      RESOLUTION:  EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS                                                                   641

 

On the motion of the Convener it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

   642      APPEAL AGAINST DISCIPLINARY ACTION - EMPLOYEE IN COMMUNITY AND                  642

              PROTECTIVE SERVICES                                                                                                                           

 

The Sub-Committee considered an appeal against disciplinary action on behalf of an employee in Community and Protective Services and decided that the appeal be upheld, all as detailed in the Appendix.
