PERSONNEL (APPEALS AND APPLIED CONDITIONS OF SERVICE) SUB-COMMITTEE

 

MONDAY, 12 APRIL 1999 - 2.00 pm

 

Present:- Councillors O'Rourke, Jackson, Nimmo, Rebecchi and Welch, Councillor Jackson, in the Chair.

 

In the absence of the Convener and Vice-Convener, Councillor Jackson assumed the Chair.

 

In attendance:- Mr H McNeilly (for the Executive Director Legal, Information and Support Services), the Director of Central Services and  Mr C Fairley (for the Director of Personnel Services).

 

Apologies for absence were intimated on behalf of Councillors Sir Simpson Stevenson and Clocherty.

 

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

 

  402      RESOLUTION : EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS                                                                    402

 

On the motion of the Chairman it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

  403      GRIEVANCE APPEAL - EMPLOYEE IN LEISURE SERVICES                                                         403

 

The Sub-Committee considered a grievance appeal on behalf of an employee in Leisure Services and decided that the appeal be not upheld, all as detailed in the Appendix.
