PERSONNEL (APPEALS AND APPLIED CONDITIONS

OF SERVICE) SUB-COMMITTEE

 

FRIDAY, 25 SEPTEMBER 1998 - 10.00 am

 

Present:- Councillors Clocherty, Morrison (M), Jackson, Nimmo, Sir Simpson Stevenson, Rebecchi and Welch, Councillor Sir Simpson Stevenson, Convener, in the Chair.

 

In attendance:- The Executive Director Legal Information and Support Services, the Director of Central Services, and Mr A Moore (for the Director of Personnel Services).

 

An apology for absence was intimated on behalf of Councillor O'Rourke.

 

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

 

1025      RESOLUTION : EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS                                                                 1025

 

On the motion of the Convener it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, as amended, the public and press be excluded from the

meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

 1026     APPEAL AGAINST DISMISSAL - EMPLOYEE IN CONTRACT SERVICES                                  1026

 

The meeting was adjourned at 5.05 pm to Monday, 28 September 1998 at 2.00 pm within the Municipal Buildings, Greenock.

 

The Sub-Committee considered an Appeal against dismissal on behalf of an employee in Contract Services and unanimously decided that the Appeal be not upheld, all as detailed in the Appendix.
