PERSONNEL (APPEALS AND APPLIED CONDITIONS

OF SERVICE) SUB-COMMITTEE

Present:- Councillors Clocherty,  Morrison (M), McGhee, Rebecchi, Mitchell and Welch, Councillor Clocherty, Vice-Convener, in the Chair.

 

In attendance:- Mr C Clelland (for the Executive Director Legal, Information and Support Services), the Director of Central Services and the Director of Personnel Services.

 

Apologies for absence were intimated on behalf of Councillors O'Rourke, Jackson, Nimmo and Sir Simpson Stevenson.

 

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

 

   983      RESOLUTION : EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS                                                                   983 

 

On the motion of the Vice-Convener it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

   984      APPEAL AGAINST TERMINATION OF CONTRACTS : EMPLOYEES IN CONTRACT`              984

              SERVICES                                                                                                                                                     

 

The Sub-Committee considered an Appeal against the termination of contracts on behalf of employees in Contract Services and decided that the Appeal against the termination of contracts be upheld, all as detailed in the Appendix.
