PERSONNEL (APPEALS AND APPLIED CONDITIONS OF

SERVICE) SUB-COMMITTEE

Present:- Provost Allan (for  Councillor O'Rourke), Councillors Clocherty, Hunter (for Nimmo), Rebecchi and Welch, Councillor Clocherty, Vice-Convener, in the Chair.

 

In attendance:- The Director of Central Services, Mr H McNeilly (for the Director of Legal Services) and the Director of Personnel Services.

 

Apologies for absence were intimated on behalf of Councillors O'Rourke, Jackson, Nimmo and Sir Simpson Stevenson.

 

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

 

   895      RESOLUTION : EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS                                                                    895

 

On the motion of the Vice-Convener it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

   896      GRIEVANCE APPEAL - EMPLOYEE IN CONTRACT SERVICES DIVISION                                 896

 

The Sub-Committee considered a grievance appeal on behalf of an employee in the Contract Services Division and decided that the appeal be upheld, all as detailed in the Appendix.
