Application for Street Trader’s Licence - Ann Louise Crichton

There was submitted a report dated 31 August 2005 by the Solicitor to the Council on an application for a street traders licence by Ann Louise Crichton to allow her to operate a snack van at MacKenzie Street, Cappielow Industrial Estate, Greenock.  The panel heard Miss Crichton and Mr Bruce, Transportation and Roads Service, in support of his objection with regard to the location of the snack van.

Decided:  that the application be granted subject to the Council’s standard conditions, with a request that the trader park the van at the best available location to assist vehicle movements in and out of the estate.

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended that the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Application for Street Trader’s Licence - Peter Owens

There was submitted a report dated 31 August 2005 by the Solicitor to the Council on an application for renewal of a street traders licence by Peter Owens to allow him to operate a snack van at upper Nicolson Street, Greenock.  The panel heard Mr Owens and Mr Bruce, Transportation and Roads Service.

Decided:  that the application be granted for a period of one year, subject to the conditions of Mr Owens’ existing licence.
