Application for Temporary Market Operator’s Licence - Forum Event Management

There was submitted a report dated 12 May 2004 by the Director of Corporate Services on an application for a Temporary Market Operator’s Licence submitted by Forum Event Management to allow the operation of a market selling meat, game and vegetables to take place in Clyde Square, Greenock on 15 May 2004 between 9 am and 4 pm.

 

 

Decided:  (1) that the application be granted subject to the conditions of licence imposed for the licence previously granted for Clyde Square; and

(2)   that authority be delegated to the Director of Corporate Services to issue a licence in similar terms for any subsequent application provided the application is in order and there is no objection to the application.

 

 

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following items on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Application for Taxi Driver’s Licence: Robert McCabe

There was submitted a report dated 16 April 2004 by the Director of Corporate Services on an application by Robert McCabe for a taxi driver’s licence following an objection by the Chief Constable.  Consideration of this application had been continued from the Panel meetings on 10 March and 14 April 2004 to allow for the applicant’s representative to attend.  The Panel noted that neither Mr McCabe nor his representative were in attendance at this meeting.

 

 

Decided:  that the application be continued to the next ordinary meeting of the Panel.

Application for Taxi Driver’s Licence: Scott Cameron

There was submitted a report dated 29 April 2004 by the Director of Corporate Services on an application for a taxi driver’s licence by Scott Cameron following an objection by the Chief Constable that the applicant was not a fit and proper person to hold such a licence by virtue of his previous convictions.  The Panel heard Superintendent Gordon and Mr Cameron. 

 

 

Decided:  that the application be granted.
