Application for Taxi Licence: Michael Skelton

There was submitted a report dated 25 November 2003 by the Director of Legal & Support Services advising of the use of the powers delegated to the Chief Executive to authorise the grant of a Taxi Licence to Mr Skelton who had omitted to make timeous application for the Licence to be renewed before it expired.

Application for Taxi Licence: Dennis McCabe

There was submitted a report dated 25 November 2003 by the Director of Legal & Support Services advising of the use of the powers delegated to the Chief Executive to authorise the grant of a Taxi Licence to Mr McCabe who had omitted to make timeous application for the Licence to be renewed before it expired.

There was submitted a report dated 25 November 2003 by the Director of Legal & Support Services advising of the use of the powers delegated to the Chief Executive to authorise the grant of a Taxi Licence to Mr Boyle who had omitted to make timeous application for the Licence to be renewed before it expired.

There was submitted a report dated 25 November 2003 by the Director of Legal & Support Services advising of the use of the powers delegated to the Chief Executive to authorise the grant of a Taxi Licence to Mr Tosh who had omitted to make timeous application for the Licence to be renewed before it expired.

Application for Market Operator’s Licence: Audrey Fenton Events

There was submitted a report dated 27 November 2003 by the Director to Legal & Support Services on an application for a Market Operator’s Licence by Audrey Fenton Events to allow the operation of a market selling meat, game and vegetables to take place at Hunter Place Car Park, Greenock on the third Saturday of each Month between 9 am and 4 pm.  The Panel heard Mr McCarron of Transportation & Roads Service with regard to the comments lodged by his service. 

 

 

Mr Douglas proposed that, were the Panel disposed to grant a licence, it be granted on the same conditions as those applying to the market at Clyde Square and in addition, a prohibition on two markets being held simultaneously in Clyde Square and Hunter Place Car Park.   Following discussion, Councillor McKenzie moved that the application be granted from 1 January 2004 to 30 November 2004.  As an amendment Councillor Forbes moved that the application be granted from 10 December 2003 for the period of one year.  On a vote 2 Members voted for the amendment and 3 for the motion which was declared carried.

 

 

Decided: that the application be granted from 1 January 2004 to 30 November 2004.

 

 

Councillor Forbes left the meeting at this point.

Application for House in Multiple Occupation - 4 Kishorn Road, Wemyss Bay

There was submitted a report dated 1 December 2003 by the Director of Legal & Support Services advising that the applicant, Mr Benning, had requested that further time be granted to allow him to progress the application.

 

 

Decided: that it be remitted to the Director of Legal & Support Services to apply to the Sheriff for an extension to the statutory period of one year to determine the application as requested by the applicant.
