Application for Permit for Amusement with Prizes Machine -

Rico's Nightclub, 2 Ann Street, Greenock

There was submitted a report dated 7 September 2001 by the Director of Legal & Support Services on an application for a Permit for Amusement with Prizes Machine from ECR Ltd to operate one machine within the premises known as Rico's Nightclub, 2 Ann Street, Greenock, consideration of which was continued from the last meeting of the Panel (Minute Ref 09/08/2001, para 624).

 

 

 

Decided:  that the application be granted.

Application for Taxi Licence - Cathal P McGhee

There was submitted a report dated 17 September 2001 by the Director of Legal & Support Services on an application for the grant of a Taxi Licence by Cathal P McGhee to allow him to operate a vehicle especially adapted for use by the disabled.  The Panel heard Mr McGhee in support of his application.

 

 

 

Decided:  that the application be granted subject to the standard conditions, together with the special conditions as set out in Appendix 4 of the report.

Application for Street Trader's Licence - John Harkins

There was submitted a report dated 7 September 2001 by the Director of Legal & Support Services on an application for a Street Trader's Licence by John Harkins following an objection by the Chief Constable that the applicant was not a fit and proper person to hold such a licence by virtue of his previous convictions.  The Panel heard Superintendent Gordon and Mr Harkins.

 

 

 

Decided:  that the application be granted.

Application for Taxi Driver’s Licence - Kevin Gillespie

There was submitted a report dated 6 September 2001 by the Director of Legal & Support Services on an application for a Taxi Driver’s Licence by Kevin Gillespie following an objection by the Chief Constable that the applicant was not a fit and proper person to hold such a licence by virtue of his previous conviction.  The Panel heard Superintendent Gordon and Mr Gillespie.

 

 

 

Decided:  that the application be granted.

There was submitted a report dated 29 August 2001 by the Director of Legal & Support Services on an application for a Taxi Driver’s Licence by Angus Ewing following an objection by the Chief Constable that the applicant was not a fit and proper person to hold such a licence by virtue of his previous convictions.

 

 

 

Decided:  that the application be refused.

 

 

 

At this point in the meeting Councillor Morrison (D) left the meeting and Councillor McCormick took the chair.
