LICENSING AND REGISTRATION PANEL

 

WEDNESDAY 22 DECEMBER 1999 - 3.30 pm

 

Present:-  Councillors Calvert, McCormick, Rebecchi and Nimmo, Councillor McCormick in the Chair.

 

In attendance:-  Mr H McNeilly (for the Director of Legal and Support Services) and the Director of Central Services.

 

Apologies for absence were intimated on behalf of Councillors Morrison (D), Morrison (M) and Mulholland.

 

The following paragraph is submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Panel.

 

1293      RESOLUTION:  EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS                                                                  1293

 

On the motion of the Chairman it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 6 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

1294      SUSPENSION OF TAXI DRIVER'S LICENCE:  THOMAS BLAIR                                                   1294

 

There was submitted a report by the Director of Legal and Support Services requesting the Panel to consider the suspension of the Taxi Driver's Licence held by Thomas H Blair and the Panel agreed that the Taxi Driver's Licence be suspended immediately for the remainder of its term, all as detailed in the Appendix.
