Present:  Provost Rebecchi, Councillors Blair, Forbes, Hill, Hunter, McCabe, McCormick (M), McKenzie, Mitchell, Moran, Nimmo, Roach, Robertson, Stewart, Tucker and White.

Chair:  Provost Rebecchi presided. 

In attendance:  Chief Executive, Director of Education Services, Solicitor to the Council, Chief Financial Officer, Mr A Gerrard (for Head of Property Services) and Managing Solicitor (Committees/Contracts).

Apologies:  Councillors Fyfe, Gallacher, McCormick (P) and Snoddy.

Members of the Council asked that their condolences be conveyed to Councillor P McCormick following his recent bereavement.

Approval of the minute was moved by Councillor Mitchell seconded by Councillor Tucker and this was agreed.

During the course of the discussion on this item, it was confirmed that the funding of approximately £900,000 required for roads infrastructure works over 2007/10 would be contained within existing Roads Capital resources.

Decided:

(1)   that the minute be approved;

(2)   that it be noted that the funding of approximately £900,000 required for roads infrastructure works over 2007/10 would be contained within existing Roads Capital resources;  and

(3)   that the Council’s appreciation of the work of the officers involved in the preparation of the School Asset Management Strategy be recorded.
