Chair:  Provost Rebecchi presided.

 

 

In attendance:  Chief Executive, Depute Chief Executive, Director of Education Services, Director of Finance, Director of Legal & Support Services, Head of Housing & Building Services, Head of Environmental & Consumer Services, Head of Personnel Services, Head of Parks, Transport & Cleansing Services and Head of Property Services.

Minute of Meeting of Policy & Strategy Committee of 22 May 2003

Councillor Blair seconded by Councillor Hill moved the suspension of Standing Orders, where necessary, to allow the previous decisions to be reversed or varied as a consequence of the proposed decisions detailed in the minute.  This was agreed unanimously.

Approval of the minute as a correct record was moved by Councillor Blair seconded by Councillor Hill.  As an amendment, Councillor Robertson seconded by Councillor Roach moved that the Council not adopt and endorse Councillor Blair's statement setting out proposals for changes in the policy and direction of the Council.  On a vote, 5 Members voted for the amendment and 13 for the motion which was declared carried.

Decided:  that the minute be approved.
