Present:- Provost Allan, Councillors Calvert, Robertson (A), Morrison (D), Clocherty, Morrison (M), O'Rourke, Jackson, Roach, McGhee, Nimmo, Robertson (Y), Mulholland, Rebecchi, Mitchell, Finnie, Welch, Hunter and Campbell, Provost Allan in the Chair.
In attendance:- The Chief Executive, the Depute Chief Executive, the Assistant Chief Executive (Economic Development and Urban Regeneration), the Assistant Chief Executive (Social and Community Services), the Assistant Chief Executive (Contract Services), the Director of Central Services, the Director of Legal Services, the Director of Finance, the Director of Education Services, the Director of Property and Technical Services and the Director of Personnel Services.
An apology for absence was intimated on behalf of Councillor Sir Simpson Stevenson.

Approval of the minute was moved by Councillor Robertson (Y) seconded by Councillor Welch.
Councillor Campbell seconded by Councillor Nimmo moved with reference to paragraph 66 (Efficient Management of Resources: Enhancing Provision in Schools):-
(a) that the recommendations in the report by the Director of Education Services be not accepted and that the Director be asked to examine and report on possible options for locating some primary schools in their associated secondary school and thereafter produce a fresh set of proposals and options for all schools;
b) that the matter of the present paper be remitted to the Policy and Strategy Committee for a policy decision; and
(c) that the Director of Education Services examine the possibility of closing Highholm Primary School with the pupils relocating to Clune Park Primary School so that all pupils can be accommodated in Clune Park Primary School and that Highholm Primary School be utilised as offices to accommodate the entire Education Services Department.
As an amendment, Councillor Robertson (Y) seconded by Councillor Welch moved that the decision in the minute be approved. On a vote, 7 Members voted for the motion and 12 for the amendment which was declared carried.
DECIDED: That the minute be approved.
