The following paragraphs are submitted
for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to
the Sub-Committee. |

The Convener being of the
opinion that the paper outlining the supplementary applications should be
considered at the earliest opportunity to permit the organisations to order
their finances moved that the applications be added to the list to allow the
Sub-Committee to determine whether grant aid should be given. This was agreed in terms of the relevant
Standing Order.

There was submitted an information paper by the Director of Community Services on the request for grants made by various voluntary organisations. |

moved that £2000 be granted to the Scottish Festival Singers. As an amendment, Councillor Stewart moved
that £1500 be granted to the Group. On
a vote 2 Members voted for the motion and 2 for the amendment and the

moved that £8800 be granted to the Port Glasgow Old People’s Welfare
Council. As an amendment, Councillor
Robertson moved that £8577 be granted to the Group. On a vote, 1 Member voted for the motion
