Waiver of Lets

620

The Director of Community Services orally requested the Sub-Committee to consider allocating £14,000 from the Grants to Voluntary Organisations Budget to the Community Services Budget which would allow applications from organisations seeking a waiver of let to be dealt with by the Director of Community Services.

Councillor White entered the meeting at this point.

Following discussion Councillor Robertson moved that requests for a waiver of let continue to be dealt with through the Sub-Committee.  As an amendment Councillor Hunter moved that £14,000 be allocated to the Community Services Budget as requested by the Director.  On a vote 2 Members voted for the motion and 3 for the amendment which was declared carried.  Two of the Members who had voted in favour of the motion then requested in terms of the relevant Standing Order that the matter be referred to The Inverclyde Council for decision in terms of the motion.
