Youth Achievement Awards

The Youth Achievement Awards are a peer education approach to recognising and accrediting young peoples’ achievements. They are designed to take a more active role in activities.

Youth Achievement Awards come in four levels:

  • Bronze: you take in activities
  • Silver: you help to organise activities
  • Gold: you plan, organise and lead your own activity
  • Platinum: you take on a leadership and peer education role

Examples of activities young people were involved:

  • Organising discos
  • Peer-education
  • Organising trips for their local Youth Club
  • Writing a health magazine
  • Attending a confidence building course
