Youth Achievement Awards
The Youth Achievement Awards are a peer education approach to recognising and accrediting young peoples’ achievements. They are designed to take a more active role in activities.
Youth Achievement Awards come in four levels:
- Bronze: you take in activities
- Silver: you help to organise activities
- Gold: you plan, organise and lead your own activity
- Platinum: you take on a leadership and peer education role
Examples of activities young people were involved:
- Organising discos
- Peer-education
- Organising trips for their local Youth Club
- Writing a health magazine
- Attending a confidence building course
