Bedroom Calculation
One bedroom for:
- Each adult or adult couple
- Any other adult aged 16 or over
- Any two children under ten (regardless of gender)
- Any two children of the same sex aged under 16 years
- Any other child
Additional bedroom for:
- A tenant, partner, dependent child or non-dependant adult who needs an overnight carer
- A member of a couple where one or both of them are unable to share a bedroom due to a disability
- A child with disabilities who has needs which would disturb the sleep of another child”
- People in supported or temporary accommodation not provided by or on behalf of the local authority
- Foster Carers
- Armed Forces
